A few afternoons lately I tried to get the kids to go to the beach but they were happy just being in the pool. The other day, before we were to get hit by Tropical Storm Karen (and turned out to be nothing), I wanted to go check out the beach again. It was a half hour before sunset and the kids kindof complained about it but I knew they would have fun so I pushed for it. I’m so glad it did-I can’t remember a sunset this beautiful and the waves from the churning gulf were just majestic. The kids ran and played and we went down to Lake Stallworth so they could a swim a little since they couldn’t in the gulf obviously 😉 Jon and I walked and held hands, drank a beverage and took some pictures…it was worth the push!
