introducing mr. & mrs. taylor | a honey lake plantation wedding {tallahassee wedding photographer}

I tried, I really did. But in the end, I could not get this gorgeous wedding down any further to post. It’s a crime, I know..I should post only a few but I won’t. Steadman and Hillary got married in the quaint wedding chapel at Honey Lake Plantation last weekend. The weather was perfection, the plantation was beautiful, Hillary was gorgeous, and Steadman was thoughtful and excited. They are friends of ours, I should mention. Perhaps that is why I am gushing. When we arrived we had a gift basket full of snacks and monogrammed notes in our room at the Equestrian Lodge and quickly left for the rehearsal and dinner which were fabulous, Steadman danced with his mother (rehearsal post HERE), and after the dinner we sat by the fire with some liquid refreshments-Steadman even pulled out hi guitar for a few songs. The next day, all was abuzz in anticipation for the big day but I have never seen a bride quite so calm, so sure. Hillary sipped her drink and was whipped into all her bridal glory by some fabulous hair and makeup people (the makeup was done by one of her bridesmaids and she rocked everyone’s makeup I must say) while her 12 bridesmaids looked on. Her dress was so beautiful-the lace, the detail on the back-to die for. And finally the ceremony-so sweet and fun and exceptionally them. After some quick “formal” pictures everyone rallied to the reception at the Gathering Hall. Dancing ensued very quickly-you know its going to be a party when the dance floor fills early. Dinner was fabulous and Hillary & Steadman truly enjoyed themselves-talking and mingling but staying close enough to dance together. Shortly before their sparkler exit Steadman pulled me aside. It seemed a little surprise was in order…they were to leave in a large semi from their families’ trucking company, if it would fit through the gate 😉 I got the lighting set up for that endeavor and through they came-stopping to kiss Hillary’s grandmother and Steadman’s mom, and then Hillary’s mom before climbing into their semi chariot. It was gorgeous and I was honored to be a part of it! Congratulations Hillary & Steadman!
