From one of my attendees, Jennifer-how sweet is this?! This workshop exceeded all my expectations. Every photographer that has their own business or just loves photography and is looking to improve their skills MUST attend this workshop. I am not a professional photographer and I learned more that I could imagine. Kansas was so helpful and answered all questions that we all had. You will learn everything from positioning your clients for amazing light to post processing tricks! Kansas is a genuine, relaxed and fun person who truly wanted to help us all learn the most we could. This workshop was organized and every detail was thought of. If you have the opportunity to take one of Kansas’s workshop, don’t hesitate, you will be so thankful you did. Thank you, Kansas! It was such an great experience~
The September workshop was such a fabulous success (see lots of behind the scenes here: September Workshop) that I was excited for Octobers! Honestly, all the ladies that I got to meet and hang out with were ah-mazing! We started at Louis Louis for dinner and goodie bags-it was awesome to get to know everyone ahead of the actual workshop part 😉 Then we started bright and early at Camp Helen State Park near Inlet Beach (and their beach house). The Hart Family were awesome and we discussed shooting techniques for that time of day, settings, placement of our family to the light source, etc.
And some behind the scenes of the girls!
We went back to the studio for some learning-editing, marketing, products, business, SEO, and so much more! We had Rachel Brenke (who just had her 4th baby the other day), the Law Tog, talk to us about legal & contract. Oh and she couldn’t see us all very well so I took my fisheye attachment from my iPhone and used it for my iMac! It was hysterical that it worked! Then we talked to Angela Callisto who is amazing with blogs and SEO…love her 🙂
We had lunch and chatted and then went and met the Traylor Family. Their blog post is HERE and it is to.die.for!
And some behind the scenes from their session:
And finally it was time to have some fun at our sunset beach session…
This first behind the scene from the beach session cracks me up….you girls….
We turned the tables on Casey and had her get a quick shot of us at the end of the day 🙂
We had so much fun-I was truly honored to meet, hang out, and teach these girls! We really had a blast! Here they are in their headshots from Sunday morning!
