If the old wives tale that rain on your wedding day is good luck then Josh and Tricia’s marriage is blessed beyond belief. If you are local you know that last weekend was a monsoon starting the week prior saturating the ground and lasting through Saturday night. Josh and Tricia are friends of mine and Jon’s and we prayed and prayed for the rain to clear out but, alas, God had other plans 😉 They had planned a gorgeous outdoor ceremony under the oaks on the river at an amazing group of cabins followed by an outdoor reception but luckily the cabin owners had a back up plan last minute. They married on the porch overlooking the river in front of a roaring fireplace with their most loved friends & family watching. And then the reception took place under the main cabin. It was beautiful and intimate, rustic and laid back, and exactly their style.
Don’t believe me about the rain? We got 6 inches just that day! This is me in my newly purchased rainboots for the occasion 😉 (And no, I never wear jeans to a wedding but that was the attire for the wedding and they were friends of ours and so we were also guests 😉
And now on to the wedding!
Yep, as you can guess, the old saying about Josh was he’d get married…”When Pigs Fly” so here it is, flying 😉
