The Schardt Family’s Turks and Caicos Family Photography Session, Providenciales, Bright Settlement by Kansas Pitts Photography

A few weeks ago I traveled from Northwest Florida (where we already have gorgeous gulf beaches) to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, West Indies to photograph Jill and her sweet little gorgeous family who were staying at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

I first met Jill in Amelia Island while teaching one of my classes at ClickAway in 2018 so it was awesome to get to see her again AND to get to photograph her family.

Initially I took some video just for a few behind the scenes videos but as I started putting it together I just couldn’t help but get sucked in…the feel of the close up videos of them reminded me of old home videos…so I edited them as such; their smiles and laughter as they truly enjoyed just playing and being together on their vacation far away from the cold of New Jersey was infectious; I was honored to be a fly on the wall (err on the beach) capturing these sweet moments between them.

I am often reminded of how long we think we have with these little ones but as my oldest is about to turn 16 I see the independence so close in the near future that it stings my eyes with tears and sometimes takes my breath away. 18 summers…thats it. And I could have been a nice little photographer and actually culled their images down further but Y’ALL! I truly couldn’t…I really, really tried. This is just a third of their entire gallery if that tells you anything sooooo Good Luck Jill! But it is going to be one epic album, am I right!?
