I did this session for Diana and her gorgeous family as part of my Oak Island Workshop (which so rocked; you can click HERE to see some more of it). And actually she didn’t tell me until the end of the session but she had just found out she was expecting her third! So LOVE big families!
Part of traveling for a session is scoping out the the best spots even when you aren’t from there, researching them, visiting them before the sessions to make sure you getting the right place for your client’s best images. Also monitoring the weather is a biggie and making sure your travel plans allow for some leeway. In the days leading up to this one it was a lot like Florida weather….the weather and weather predictions change at least once every 5 minutes. It appeared that a storm would be moving in that afternoon and it was inevitable so I talked it over with Diana and they were game for a sunrise beach session at the pier on Oak Island. I am SO glad we did. You’ll see why when you see these images! I love sunrise (hate waking up early but the payoff is so worth it) sessions – less distractions for the kiddos, usually less wind, gorgeous colors, more tame weather conditions…and then you have the rest of your day to play!
